There is a relatively new medium on the market which has made an impact on the world of arts and crafts. This medium was created in the Netherlands in the early 1990s by a group of Dutch artists. They were looking for an alternative to resin which was environmentally friendly and easy to use. The most common and ordinary materials are made rock hard with this product. This enables the creation of awesome artworks, such as a Paverpol sculpture, using just about any material as a form.

In America, safety standards are very high, particularly when it comes to products that may be used by children. Paverpol fabric hardener was put through all the tests and has received the highest level of safety seal. It does not require use of gloves and cleaning up is easy. Just remember not to throw leftover product down the drain as it may block it when it becomes hard.

One of the major benefits of this material is its versatility. So many different supporting components can be used in order to create a work of art. This varies from polystyrene or armature wire to items for recycling such as tins and bottles. The only material the product does not adhere to is plastic.

People with different levels of skill can use the product to create simple pieces or much more intricate ones. There are various courses and classes available to help people learn, from those for beginners to advanced courses for the more experienced. A course for a beginner may entail using an old T-shirt, dipping it into the product and draping it on a wire figurine to produce a simple but unique work of art.

The weatherproof nature of the product means it can withstand most weather conditions such as rain and wind. Creations may soften slightly in hot summer months but if the piece has the proper armature it will harden again when the weather cools down. Statues can be varnished for further protection, especially in high humidity areas where there is more chance of mildew developing.

When this product dries, it is transparent which allows bright fabrics to retain bright colors. If you are using a white fabric, you can add a colored powder to dye it. In fact, a number of different products have now been created which can be added to enhance artworks.

A Paverpol sculpture makes a distinctive addition to any surroundings. If placed outdoors, you do not have to worry about its durability. Indoors, it can create a focal point in an entrance hall or living room, drawing attention and creating interest.
